This E-letter focuses on what I consider the most powerful influence of all -- time -- what is happening, when it is happening, where it is happening, and what you can do about it. This is information not readily available elsewhere, but is a powerful tool used in classical Feng Shui.

Once you receive the introductory guide, you must take care of the annual influences first with appropriate cures, and, at times - for strongest results - reposition yourself in a room. The monthly influences described in each month's E-letter are the triggers for the events in your life.

How to Work With the Monthly E-letter Information

You must know a few things about your living space, and how you use your space in order to best use this information. Be sure you know the direction and location of each room and door. The importance of a room depends on the amount of use. Also, pay attention to where you are located within a room, as well as the direction you are facing (headboard when in bed). The following locations are listed in order of priority.

1. Your personal Kua location
2. Your bedroom location and bed location
3. The location and direction of the main door used most
4. The facing direction of the house
5. Your office and desk location

Each month you will probably only focus on three to four locations. All areas are not considered equally. Many locations have minor impact and need no special attention. Also, look at overall patterns each month for a combined effect. For example, it your Kua location is negative, your entrance door is negative, and your bedroom is negative for the month, you are at higher risk for problems, and may want to take extra precautions.

March, 2004 Influences
March 5 to April 3

North, Kan

Kuas Most Affected: 1
General Influence: Mildly favorable
Cures: Only annual; water remains good here
North Potentials: The North already enjoys benevolence this year. This month that favor may be in the form of a stellar reputation and stature, especially for politics, senior management, or company owners using the North. The North Palace is perfect for those involved in sports or physical activities.
Risks: Health risks are head injuries, headaches or injuries with sharp metal objects.

Northeast, Ken

Kuas Most Affected: 8
General Influence: Favorable
Cures: Maintain annual cure - activity, movement, sound. A small bowl of water can enhance the following potentials.
Northeast Potentials: Northeast is already the strongest annual location for opportunity and financial gain, especially for real estate deals if you are willing to go the extra mile. This month romance resides here, as does support for exams, testing and academics. You may also enjoy a stellar and high profile reputation.
Risks: On the downside, arthritis could be a problem. This is a dangerous location for children. Be very careful with young children sleeping in the Northeast in March. They are prone to accidents especially involving limbs.

East, Chen

Kuas Most Affected: 3
General Influence: Favorable
Cures: You can back off the fire and red lights a bit, but keep them handy for most of the rest of the year. This is the only month this year that water is favorable in the East.
East Potentials: Unlike the rest of the year, in March, the East brings some opportunity. You will be in a stronger position of authority. If you need to speak, act or be considered authoritative, you will have an extra edge here. The East also offers another location to reap financial gain, especially for wood related businesses - furniture, building, also nurseries, garden centers, and agriculture should experience some expansion.
Risks: On the darker side, this is a dangerous location for young children, as is the Northeast. Be very careful this month if children have Eastern bedrooms, especially young boys. Children may also be more difficult and run into problems at school.

Southeast, Xun

Kuas Most Affected: 4
General Influence: Favorable
Cures: Activity and use. Water is still favorable here. A word of caution, water here can also increase the chances or opportunities for affairs for married or committed couples
East Potentials: The Southeast remains strong for attracting relationships, not enhancing existing ones. Unlike most of the year, March does not support studies and doing well on exams. On the other hand, hanging out in the Southeast in March supports clear and good choices. Women do well in business. The Southeast supports health, and you will look your best.
Risks: Be careful of being robbed, especially by a family member.

South, Li

Kua Most Affected: 9
General Influence: Very unfavorable
Cures: Heavy metal or salt water cure (available on cure download)
South Potentials: In March the worst location is in the South. Unlike the rest of the year, the South may prove more a problem than a boon at this time. Avoid the South as much as possible, and do not have major negotiations or make major decisions here. Note, The March bombings in Spain are in Southern Europe, making not a dictate, but an indication of the potential wrath of this nasty influence.
Risks: The South is not a good place to make money. You may experience stress and mental pressure. You are more vulnerable to eye problems, blood related conditions, and ulcers. Women are especially vulnerable and may experience female or abdominal problems. Spending time in the South may cause people to become hardheaded and stubborn.

Southwest, Kun

Kuas Most Affected: 2
General Influence: Unfavorable
Cures: Salt water cure (see cure download), a live plant, and heavy metal
Southwest Potentials: There is little favor in the Southwest this month.
Risks: Still consider the Southwest a health risk. Money may roll in, but roll out as easily. Affairs are also a possibility if using the Southwest. Women, especially of different age groups and generations may find themselves arguing, and at odds. Also be careful of metal related injuries. Health problems at highest risk are stomach and intestinal. This location is at higher risk for fires.

West, Tui

Kuas Most Affected: 7
General Influence: Unfavorable
Cures: A small amount of fire is helpful
West Potentials: The West hosts another rather nasty influence that you should try to avoid.
Risks:Houses and businesses facing West or using West rooms are at high risk for theft and robbery. I have already suffered the consequences of this pattern when a computer virus destroyed all my document files representing years of work. (FYI, beginning last month, all my emails are sent through my Internet Mail Manager. This web-based program checks all emails for viruses before sending.) In today's world, no one has to break into your home to take something from you. It could be your computer, or your identity, as in identity theft. The West is at high risk for conflicts, arguments and legal problems, as well as possible betrayal by a trusted friend or family member. Financial losses resulting from legal issues are also a possibility. Also, be careful of metal related injuries.

Northwest, Chien

Kuas Most Affected: 6
General Influence: Mixed
Northwest Potentials: The Northwest provides another opportunity for financial gain, especially with real estate ventures. On the other hand, it could make a person a scrooge.
Risks: Here you may experience gastro intestinal problems, or reproductive problems for women. A negative, ugly, or harsh form outside in this location could also lead to apparitions.

Final Thoughts

Initially this information may be a bit overwhelming. Find the tidbits of information most useful for you, and turn them into treasures. Draw a floor plan, objectively look at your space and use of space. Pay attention to what is happening in your life. Study the annual and monthly patterns of influence and use this powerful tool to safely navigate through mine fields, and grasp hidden opportunities.
